  Very vibrant from the get go. Classic mosel riesling notes. Bursts of stone fruit, canteloupe and finishes with some candied ginger on the palate. Very aromatic and beguiling. Body has a lovely gentle creaminess to it as it is exposed to the air. Extremely versatile with a whole host of Chinese food. High recommended Kabinett.

  September 12, 2014 - Nose of apricot, papaya and fresh mountain streams. The palate bursts with green apple lime and papaya, underlined by smoky stones and slate. I picked out complex notes of orange peel, honey, key lime pie, chalk and minerals. Long, complex, crisp. Beautiful now but I’d love to bury this for 5-8 years.

  July 21, 2013 - The 2011 Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Scharzhofberger Kabinett is medium (-) yellow in colour with aromas of unripe honeydews, juicy green grapes and slight slate. On the palate, there's an initial 'kabinett-worthy' sweetness that displays a flavours of dried apricots, unripe honeydew and pronounced fresh green grapes. There's also a noticeable spritz that adds a little life to the wine. The acidity was rather mild on this one, having the finish to still end on quite a sweet note.
