October 22, 2017 - The nose was funky/musky at first, but gave way to lighter fruit. On taste the acid was up front and center and then the fruit, which tasted cooked. This drank much better with the meal. We had a triple cream Brie and then a grilled rack of lamb.

January 4, 2014 - Tasted at Silver Oak today. Nose of dark cherry fruit, earthy, and spice, more of the same on the palate, medium/big body, and a medium/long finish, three years to be its best.
