August 24, 2013 - Dark purple. Clear. Raspberry, black pepper, cherry on the nose. Moderate tannin, light acidity. Lack of enough acidity throws off the balance, and it comes off a bit flabby. Coffee, cherry, raspberry, meat, vanilla on the palate. Long finish. Tasty, but I enjoyed the DCV Heritage Zin more, for a lot less $.
