April 12, 2024 - 4 years in the cellar and it need a few more to peak. Super sharp acidity along with fresh fruit like pineapples, green apples, oysters, chalk and a stony minerality. It grows with some food but really would benefit with a few more years horizontally.

February 22, 2024 - Brief notes. Fine autolytic notes of brioche. Pear and apple fruit. Steely minerality. Balanced palate. Not as complex and structured like Longitude, but very much enjoyable.

December 26, 2023 - February 2022 disgorgement, 2019 base with the usual (I would think) 40% reserve wine. 100% Chard from around Vertus. When I opened this an hour ago, it was very sauvage, spicy, both aromatically and on the palate. Kinda wild. With air it settles down some but there is no escaping the lemon oil and white pepper qualities of the wine. It's threaded throughout the wine, and into the finish, joined by a distinct and vivid green apple, plus the same fresh spearmint quality I have found in the other bottles. I think I am finally now understanding this base of Latitude, one that is vivid, intense and spicy. I'll give this a drive over three days and see if it evolves more...the following day, this is pretty consistent with y/day's note yet I can add some pear to the fruit profile, an the apple has a little kore of a yellow edge. There is also a kiss of caramel, just enough to say hi, a nuance. And the wine has rounded out nicely, less intense. Really enjoyed this bottle.
