November 25, 2021 - A bit of a disappointment given the vintage, appellation and classification of the chateau but Lagange did not make consistently good wine back then.
Magnum bottle. Top shoulder fill.
Not decanted after tasting the wine.
The aromatics are quite nice and crisp and the hue is excellent with minimal browning. The issue is the lack of balance on the palate; it's all acid and agressive tannins. Not even enjoyable with food... -

July 12, 2020 - Wow, was this impressive. A modicum of fruit remains. This more than mature Bordeaux is earthy with good length. It is a really fascinating old wine.
