May 11, 2024 - This is flat out one of the best brunellos I’ve ever had, and I collect brunello. Picked up at a local shop that sells auction leftovers at retail, I had no idea this was the private enoteca pitti reserve until I was a glass into the bottle wondering what the hell was going on. Red fruit, herbs, touch of balsamic; full bodied, fruity and ripe but with good Sangiovese acidity to keep it balanced; just a hint of soy/foresty age but mostly fresh; velvet textured with soft, mature tannins. Glorious wine - as good as any Soldera or Lisini Ugolaia or Cerbaiona I’ve ever had, and frankly better.

November 28, 2020 - Bought this bottle aprox 10 years ago at our favourite winebar in Florence...were still “poor” starters by than and asked for an unique bottle and bought this.kept it for a special event: tonight! Had it with stew beef with baked foie gras on top. Wine decanted for 2,5 hours and were blown away by it! Extremely balanced, fruity and very smooth! Regret We werent able to buy more bottles in the past
