March 10, 2018 - Nice mouthfeel that has a touch of velvet and a bit like a CDP, believe it or not. The wine has some iron, pomagranate, and a dark cherry thing going for it with a decent finish. Nose has hints of leather and some clove. A very pleasant surprise after only a modest decant. Nice!

March 4, 2018 - North Shore LI that was surprisingly good for a 16 year old wine. Had quite a bit of sediment though.

October 18, 2007 - Surprisingly good and much different than when I first tasted this wine at the vineyard. Tannins are definitely present but really help add to the complexity and structure of this wine. Not so fruit forward but enough ripe cherry and blackberry to balance out the spice and oak that is present. See my full review here: http://winedaddy.blogspot.com

May 24, 2007 - The Wines of New York State (LIWSF, London): 11%
A darker colour than the other New York merlots, this has ripe, floral plummy fruit dominating the attractive nose. Very attractive, very forward fruity palate. Fairly concentrated with some depth and complexity. A lovely open, expressive finish with fresh black fruits and some subtle cinnamon flavours. The low alcohol is particularly noteworthy. Very Good Indeed.
