August 18, 2018 - Coonawarra fruit blending seamlessly with choc/mocha oak. A hint of mint and eucalypt. Still dense dark red with a bit of crimson fading at the edges. Nice mouth feel and reasonable length.

September 8, 2016 - Solid wine but low on complexity and excitement. I was waiting for more.

May 5, 2016 - Youthful Colour, fresh fruits on nose. Med+ body, green herbs, hints of grass. Vanilla, and soft but firm tannins. Good value.

May 2, 2016 - The colour is still young. The wine is fresh and clean with nice cassis and probably too much vanilla. It is satisfying but could be more complex. The back label says 10 years from vintage, but I don't see why it wouldn't last 20.

March 26, 2014 - This 4 year old wine appeared inky with a purple edge. It was closed on opening but had emerged by 70 minutes in the decanter though I felt it was still cloaking its true nature. The scents and flavours were classic but perhaps lacking in concentration and definition. Dark cherries, blackcurrant predominated with black olives and tomato vine intermingling. There were hints of mint, dark chocolate and cigar box. There was a brief period of earthiness early on and some suggestion of liver pate on the palate later. The wine had a soft mouthfeel and was well balanced being of medium to full body. The wine faded after 2 hours and was dumb at 4 hours. Drunk at 16 degrees from Riedel bordeaux glasses. My guess the wine will reveal more of its bouquet with time and gain greater concentration and flavour. The experts say it will last 3 decades.
