  February 7, 2018 - Ghost of Clos Vougeot: This nose is quite nice, darker cherry fruit with savory baking spice and dark earth. Palate is well built, good red berry fruit, good balance, and good acid drives a nice finish. Technically solid but there is more character and nuance to be developed here. Bottles directly from the domaine.

On the palate it is completely shut down, with thin, pale crimson fruit if there is any fruit at all. Hours later it cranks up in concentration and deepens in tone with a fairly saturating blue/black complexion - enough to give me hope this has the underlying material to reopen into something interesting but it is a long, long way off.
