  August 13, 2021 - 13% alcohol. Served from a magnum.
  
  Moderately translucent, somewhat evolved cherry red color with a slightly brick-orange hue. Ripe, dark-toned and somewhat dull nose with quite reticent aromas of root cellar, some metallic notes and a little bit of something green. The wine is dry, dull and quite tough on the palate with flavors of tart lingonberries, some earth, light notes of dusty old cellar and a hint of ripe cranberry. High in acidity with quite prominent and rather grippy tannins. The finish is dry, tannic and dull with closed, dusty aromas. With some air the TCA notes of mildew start to slowly emerge.
  
  A corked bottle. Some people tried to explain that the wine was just closed and showing some bottle funk, but I was quite adamant the wine was corked from the first minute. Well, with some breathing the wine turned out to show some quite obvious TCA aromas, so the argument ended there.
  
  A shame, really.
