  July 26, 2014 - So much non-fruit in this fully mature Semillon. Pours deep golden yellow. Nose features wet hay, slate, machine oil, wet wool, wax, cut grass, damp soil, pine needles, lemon, and white peach. The palate is dry with high citrusy acid and a tad more viscosity than expected. Medium plus finish in length. Such an unusual wine of character but has so much more intellectual interest than hedonistic pleasure to be had here.

  September 30, 2013 - This is a terrific "off the beaten path" wine. Intense, complex, big in the mouth. A treat. But.... don't serve to an inexperienced or unadventurous taster. They won't like it and you'll get that crinkled face look. It will overwhelm them.

  September 1, 2013 - Screw cap. Complex aromas of orange, tropical fruits, tea leaf, and beeswax. Medium-full bodied with an oily and very creamy texture. Palate is ever-so-slightly off-dry (slightly sweet) and has tropical fruits, tea and beeswax flavours. Smooth, lengthy finish that is slightly tart, bitter and extra dry. For a 2004, this is drinking very well, but drink this yummy white now. It's different. I enjoyed it!

  June 13, 2013 - Golden straw; lanolin, beeswax, lychees, oranges, honeysuckle; pear, honey, oily, medium body, low acidity, lingering bitter finish.
  Oily and honey notes, viscous with low acidity. Intriguing sipper, complex and evolving. Maybe decant next time. Would go with nuts or deli meats on rye.
