  April 8, 2022 - Crikey this is terrific value. Decanted for an hour - gorgeous fruit on the nose (I wish I could be more specific!!), powerful and youthful and held together well by the tannins which softened a little after a couple of hours in decanter. A hint of brownness showing through threatens to give its age away but the tannins indicate plenty to go. Lots of primary flavours present, clearly has plenty of aging left if wanted but I think in a terrific spot now. Purchased EP and cellared in OWC.

  December 23, 2021 - My first time of tasting, and I think it is one the best vintages I've tasted from the estate and certainly is outshining the lauded 2011. It is in its prime drinking window and has a structure to stay at this level for the next decade.

  May 24, 2021 - Deep, dark, delicious. I have a lot of these Les Cruzelles from various vintages (mostly all bought en primeur). It may sound strange but I find these really come up trumps in the lesser vintages. The '09 and '10 were somewhat over-extracted for me but the '11 and '13 (yes, even that dreary vintage) were bright and full of fun. This '12 is however my favourite of all the vintages I've had to date. For the price it's a lot of wine and, to me at least, just a lovely, pleasing drop without any pretence to consume with a plate of decent food (or a lump or two of cheese).

  April 9, 2021 - Great closure and nice deep ruby with a hint of garnet over a candle flame. Violet and maybe rose on the nose. Smooth dark plum fruit on the palate - beautiful fine tannins although the finish is maybe a little short? Great wine for the price.

  March 12, 2021 - Darkest ruby with the beginning of a clear rim. Solid colour. Nose blackberry and chocolate. Merlot all the way baby! Palate super smooth black fruit with fine tannins still exhibiting a firm grip. Very nice wine.
