July 25, 2023 - Opened, poured into a decanter, and then enjoyed. Tasted with food (spaghetti in a tomato-zucchini sauce, in case you were wondering) and then in its own. Saved half in a 375ml bottle and refrigerated; tasted the following day.
Grassl Cru stem.
Ruby color.
Nose offers red cherries and some blackberry notes.
Good fruit into with the blackberry being initially prominent and then opening up with cranberry, pomegranate and Rainier cherry.
Good acidity.
On day two, this had lost some if its vibrancy. Not as clean and bright fruited as the wine upon opening.
I found some Falstaffs to show an herbal/whole-cluster element. This has only an herbal accent and shows a cleaner and brighter fruit profile.
Delicious wine.
Branded cork with vintage and vineyard. Cork broke in half during extraction.

May 4, 2023 - Apparently, I have been drinking Kutch wines too early because this is the oldest bottle I've sampled and my favorite to date. Crisp bing cherry notes float on top of a deeper, earthier palate of dark fruit and herbs. Acid and tannins in check, but I think this one still has a lot more room to run.

April 25, 2020 - Popped and poured with a steak dinner. This was stunning from the moment the cork was pulled. Soaring, nose of red fruit. Equally great on the palate, with more fresh red fruit. A real beauty!

July 5, 2019 - Delicious. A lot of tart cranberry, raspberry, some red apple perhaps. Smooth, lingering finish with no bitter/metallic/iron edge which I've found in some of the Kutch wines. Partly for that reason I've been a bit down on the Kutch's of late... can't decide if slight stylistic changes over the years or maybe I haven't been waiting long enough to drink them. This bottle doesn't really helps me figure that out! I just know it was one of my favorite Kutch's to date. I think it has a several more years in front of it but no need to wait as it's drinking very well right now.

June 8, 2019 - Pop and pour, no decant needed. Soft, lush, with ample fruit, a bit of spice and no discernible oak or tannins, I wouldn't say this is a complex wine, but it's certainly a pleasurable one. Feels as though it could stay at this plateau for a while, but there's no reason to wait to try a bottle, either.
