June 16, 2012 - VOS. From a solera started in 1894. Bottle no. 8882, L.9180. Orange amber; good depth, nuts and candied fruits, salty; chalky minerality, elegant, good intensity, dry but not forbidding or austere; good finish, complete, very good length. Quite impressive, stylish and well-balanced, user-friendly.

October 9, 2009 - Clear, deep amber. Full nose, sweet maple candies, roasted hazelnut, touches of sandalwood. Medium body, young vibrant acid, formal pronounced structure adorned with complexity. Mineral driven golden raisin tang, caramel flowing into white pepper. A long finish with a creamy bread yeast glow. At 20% alcohol but never off balance. I think I enjoyed the lot slightly more last year but still a treat.

October 14, 2008 - A royal amber tone with generous legs. Concentrated and layered nose; praline almonds, nutmeg, and vanilla flow together in an integrated and enchanting manner. Vibrant acidity backs a light bodied and dry structure. Hazelnut, heavy cream, caramel and vanilla mingled with a bread yeast tone. Each sip will bring a different element of the flavor forth from the sweet dried fruit of raisin and dates to savory wood notes. A long finish worth lingering over before taking another decadent sip. For 20$ for 500ml, please try!
