March 10, 2018 - Nose is wet redwood forest floor, and earth. Palate is a fruit forward dark cherry and semi-sweet cocoa. The finish is tannic but no fruit or many flavors travel with the tannins. However, for the price point, this bottle presents it self in the $13-$18 range verses an $8 bottle.

September 7, 2014 - Amazing value as always at TJ's-5.99 but as interesting as a wine twice the price. Pours dark, imposing garnet. Big jammy fruit flavors - plum and dark cherries. On the sweet side (think concentrated) but tannins pretty mellow for a wine this big. Chocolate, spice, earth, pepper. All the flavor one wants from a big red without the afterbite. Will buy again.

August 22, 2014 - Consistent with prior note--a touch sweet (reminiscent of a sun dried raisin), but for $6 this is still where it's at in the QPR dept. For what it is....fantastic!
