January 29, 2017 - Opened and decanted in morning, drank 6 hrs later. Definitely recommend decanting to get the sediment out and let all the complexity unfurl. Hard to believe it's a merlot... a "cab drinker's merlot", reflective of the terroir. Definitely requires big meat!

July 12, 2015 - Plenty of fruit. Lots of sediment so recommend decanting. Got into a bit of the sediment and ended up with a lingering bitters, back-palate flavor. Had to remember that the wine was good with a beef dinner.

February 13, 2015 - Delicious juicy and fruit forward. A bit young, but decanted which opened the wine satisfactorily. Accompanied filet mignon that was marianated in merlot. Miner continues to please!

February 11, 2015 - Nice structure and well integrated flavors. Drinking well right now with several more great years ahead. This wine went crazy good with our chocolate covered strawberries.
