April 4, 2021 - Pop & pour, burnt over the hill nose and taste, acidity start to show up after a couple of hours, rather mediocre taste, lacking complexity. Better the next day, acidity and some fruit showing up and improved complexity. Still burnt taste persist, but more enjoyable now. Color looks fine, typical chardonnay hue.

April 7, 2020 - Apricot, high minerality, slightly tart, slight caramel on the finish. Overall, this does drink like an older chardonnay that has aged well. This wine is in significantly better shape than one 11 months ago, that was still quite good. Tonight, the wine is harmonious, elegant and cerebral.

May 9, 2019 - Moslty Oregon and Burgundy (Kevin and Vicki's house): Apricot, high minerality, slightly tart, slight caramel on the finish. Overall, this does drink like an older chardonnay, with good complexity. Unfortunately, the sharp vanilla stands out a little too much, and seems out of place as this wine is not that rich. Nonetheless, this was fun to drink and interesting in the complex flavors/aromas.

May 4, 2019 - Salmon and Pinot Noir at Rocknrollers (Minneapolis, MN): I enjoyed this wine and quite complex overall. Carmel, stones, apple, vanilla and mild oak. Medium plus finish and multilayered flavors. Drinking really well. Drink now to 2021.

May 4, 2019 - Pinots and Salmon (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 30 minutes. Vanilla, butterscoth, acacia flowers, lemon, fairly steely palate, saline,, briny, stones, complex. The vanilla was a little too prominent even now for me.

March 16, 2019 - recent CT notes are spot on. I would say the lemon tasting note could be turned down slight, otherwise amazing chard

January 11, 2018 - What an enjoyable wine! Medium golden color and medium body. Good nose followed by a beautiful balance of pear and apple fruit with a taste of oak. Super finish. Going to buy more if I can.

January 1, 2018 - We drank this following the 2012 Marcassin Marcassin. It's hard to match the wow factor of that wine yet I appreciated and enjoyed this Serene. Creamy, with lime zest/candy, some imprint of oak and a finishing rain water quality that I tuned into and enjoyed.

January 1, 2018 - New Years 2018: This is a fantastic wine. This is pretty dark gold, if this was a white burg there'd be real concern. No problems here, beautiful looking wine. Crazy good nose, lots of baking spices. Baked apples comes to mind. Yellow fruit, pear and apple, and a hint of oil, smooth mouthfeel with a glycerin aspect. Excellent balance.
