September 1, 2023 - I've had several vintages now and this is everything I want from my Napa cab. It's still juicy and fruity with cassis, blackberry, dark cherry and bramble. It's got some lifted menthol, eucalyptus and coffee, chocolate with milder but excellent baking spice notes. Tertiary creeping in with library book and saddle leather. It's got med- acidity balancing med/light tannins, fine and elegant finishing endlessly with depth, grace and fullness. Its pure perfection!

December 31, 2022 - Super hot out of the bottle. After an hour in the decanter it settled down quite nicely. As others have noted, the strawberry is unexpected but quite delightful. Paired wonderfully with fillet with Gorgonzola.

July 24, 2022 - Double decanted back to bottle an hour before dinner. It didn’t need more.
Dark, deep, and enjoyable. Nose was a bit muted but consistent with flavors: black fruits, cherry jam, and an leather/wet leaves on the long finish. Tannins are well integrated. This is in a wonderful place and ready to drink. -

January 17, 2019 - Pitch black with red ring around glass. Needs 30 minutes to open. Rich earthy nose of purple fruit, chocolate, wet tobacco. Palate is deep and rich in flavor, comes in waves; coffee, strawberry jam, chocolate, an earthy dark olive note. Lithe and impressive wine, unexpected. Extremely long, satisfying finish. Terrific QPR.
