November 7, 2014 - Tasted a second time with Antipasti.
First rather muted nose, takes some moments. Then cassis, vanilla, a little bit of oak, sweet, some herbal spice, medium intense (11/15). Fruity palate with lots of berry flavours, smooth, juicy, again vanilla, medium tannins, medium(-) acidity, easy to drink but not boring, tasty (12/15). Medium body, very good balance, some oak adds more balance (7.5/10). Tasty medium long, berry dominated finish (7.5./10).
11+12+7.5+7.5(+50) = 88/100 - Very good wine and excellent qpr. Super crowd-compatible steak and bbq wine. -

February 7, 2014 - Had it with my grass-fed Angus Tenderloin at "Steakhouse M" in Frankfurt/Main. A perfect match.
Eye: Brilliant dark ruby red.
Nose: Classic Cali Cab nose with lots of dark fruits (cassis, bramble), paired with a sweet and herbal note. 88 p.
Palate: Dark fruits, smooth tannins, rather low acidity, very decent on the oak. Medium body and finish, not overly complex but very enjoyable. 88 p.
Surprisingly good at a killer price of only 8€/12$ in German online stores. Something to keep in mind.
