Community Tasting Notes 5

October 30, 2023 - Cork was dried out and somewhat disintegrated on opening, even with a double-sided rescue opener. Wine was a bit oxidized and overly acidic.

June 5, 2019 - Completely agree with the CT review by Zweder: Tropical flavors and butter in the bouquet. On the palate tropical fruits, a bit fat, ok citrus. The wine is starting to show some age. Still drinking nicely. Drank well over 3 days, and I didn't even spray it with N2 the second night -- not unusual for Pfalz rieslings, but very unusual for most of the rest of the world.

March 25, 2018 - Tasted next to the 2015. Nicely evolved, open, generous, quite rich, but great acidity on the palate to keep everything balanced. Vibrant, pretty persistent finish. Very good. Drink or keep. 91-93

July 20, 2017 - Chardonnay and Italians: Tropical nose with pear, pineapple, yellow florals, peach and orange rind. Powerful and ripe on the palate, really good length and balance here. Fine acidity and drinking really well at the moment with the components sitting together well. Will likely hit another stage of development given time but it's really good now!

May 19, 2017 - Occasional dinner group: Riesling GG and Top Pomerol (@ Zarzo): Tropical flavors and butter in the bouquet. On the palate tropical fruits, a bit fat, ok citrus. The wine is starting to show some age.
