Community Tasting Notes 7

    October 12, 2020 - 10% alcohol, 115 g/l of residual sugar, about 5,5-6 g/l of acidity.

Intense, quite concentrated and still surprisingly youthful yellow-green color. Intense, youthful and very perfumed nose with musky, floral aromas of Muscat, fruity notes of tangerine and lychee, some rosewater tones, a little bit of orange marmalade, light notes of sweet grapey fruit and a hint of ripe pear. The wine is sweet, full-bodied and quite oily on the palate, but at the same time surprisingly fresh and precise with its high acidity. There are sweet flavors of ripe grapey fruit, tangerine, some exotic spices, light floral notes of roses, a little bit of lychee and a hint of blood orange. The high acidity lends good sense of balance and structure to the wine. The overall feel is surprisingly youthful for the age. The intense finish is sweet, enjoyably acid-driven and slightly sticky with flavors of lemon marmalade, blood orange, some grapey fruit, light notes of exotic spices, a little bit of honeyed richness, a hint of ripe tangerine and a developed touch of molten butter.

A very nice, balanced and enjoyably acid-driven effort. Not a particularly complex or that evolved - compared to the age of the wine - but nevertheless it feels as though the wine had gained a bit more nuance and sense of balance in the cellar. Overall the wine felt surprisingly backward - I guess due to the screwcap? Surprisingly nice stuff, good value at 12,98€ for a half bottle.

March 6, 2016 - Orange colour, floral and orange on the nose, the palate is unctuous, orange flavours, a bit of spice on the finish. Simple and decent. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

November 16, 2014 - White gold. Orange and flowers on the nose. The palate is lightly diluted orange squash, floral notes too but it just lacks the concentration and complexity you get from so many other sweet wines. Decent, but no more than that.

November 14, 2014 - Close, but just doesn't have the concentration of flavour on the finish that you would expect. OK.

September 6, 2014 - Floral notes, in proportion, retains the original characteristics. Decent, steady.
