Community Tasting Notes 1

January 8, 2010 - Coloring was in line with what you'd expect to see from a Pinot Noir of this age. Off the top this wine was different from the others in the line up: fresh bread and cured bacon were the dominating aromas. Over the next 20 minutes the nose turned to Balsa wood, hints of cotton candy and ultimately buttered and caramel popcord. The palate had good balance with no wood showing. A very interesting wine to be able to try.
