December 30, 2023 - Popped and poured. Still very youthful with some unresolved tannin. Full bodied with great depth and length. Nicely balanced, good acidity with no heat despite 15.1 percent octane. Black currant, tobacco, herbs and smoke. Long finish. Overall this was quite compelling.

March 3, 2023 - Still has time. Decanted for 60 minutes.

  • Red Sox Fan Likes this wine: 94 points

January 29, 2023 - Enjoyed with Lisa, Dave and Tabitha the cat. Note to self: it’s worth holding a bottle or two through 2025 to see where this goes.

  • jmcnewjersey Does not like this wine: 87 points

January 7, 2023 - Disappointing, overly-ripe and Port like, not at all like the flagship cab, and not worth the price.

September 19, 2022 - Purple in color. 15.2% ABV. Showstopping nose of black and blue fruits, Whitman Sampler box, scorched earth and violets. Exceptionally rich and plush. Immense and concentrated. Blackberry, blueberry, cassis liqueur and espresso on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish with an abundance of silky tannins. Stunning Cabernet Sauvignon that is aging brilliantly. This will drink well for another 6-8 years.
