March 15, 2014 - This wine surprised me. Hands down the best Primitivo I've had. Chocolate and spices and the nose, incredibly silky mouth feel. A little on the hot side, which is to be expected at this level of ABV.
In my opinion this is definitely a pop and pour. After a couple of hours I felt like the best flavors blew off a bit, along with some of the heat. I would definitely consider this a pop and pour and not something to decant ahead of time. I'm going to have to track down more of this.
