March 11, 2017 - It was kind of dull when first opened, but about 3 hours after a double decant, it was lovely as perfumed dark cherry and plum fruit and spice danced around a fine framework of acidity to a pleasant harmony.

May 31, 2016 - Medium ruby in color with slight bricking at the edges, this reveals black cherry, cedar and spice cake on the nose. The mouth feel brings surprisingly fresh acidity given its age, black tea, raspberry and forest floor. The finish is complex with the fruit, acidity and subtle funk all well integrated. 13.5% abv.

Purchased from the Berserker Day event directly from the winery for $27US, this wine is drinking beautifully now and easily has 5+ years of life left. I drank this pnp but a decant at this time may be warranted. The wine continued to open up over the course of the 90 minutes it was open with the last glass being the most open and complex. Wish I had more of these.

April 30, 2016 - Cherry and plum. Pure. Medium + body. Totally fresh and alive. Some medicinal elements but not in a bad way. Balanced and not overly fruit forward but still plenty of fruit. Has some funk. Silky smooth.

April 30, 2016 - There was a spritziness to the wine that was not in my last bottle. Disappointing, but thems the breaks.

March 26, 2016 - This bottle showed better than the last. Ready from the get-go, this showed some very pretty fruit with good depth. There's a strong acidic streak that keeps it fresh, perhaps just a touch too acidic for my palate, but not taking away any enjoyment. Just an enchanting drink. Left a little bit for the next evening, vacu-vining at room temp. Still very good but showed a slight oxidative note. An elegant, expressive wine.
