  September 13, 2014 - Splash decanted and drank over 3 hours. Light red and clear. Alcoholic nose with tart strawberry charred earth. Strawberry, tar and cherry candy. Med body, high acidity and light tannins. Rather short finish.
  
  I think you can find the same quality in a Cotes du Rhone for about half the cost. Maybe the cool vintage didn't suit this wine well.
