January 20, 2015 - I always have enjoyed this wine and this years is no different. Huge palate with tannins. Not sure I would guess it is Merlot if drinking this blind, but ver enjoyable and sad it is the last one.

May 21, 2014 - Not usually a big fan of single varietal merlots. Decanted this for over an hour and ultimately found it to be quite enjoyable. The red fruit was very forward, dusty and ripe, and framed a distinctive tomato leaf and iron core. Slightly sweet with that characteristic Walla Walla earth and mineral presence. Tannins fine and food friendly, this is one of the rare occasions that I wish I had more merlot. Ready now, but no rush.

February 24, 2014 - This had the usual soft tannin of a Merlot, but I found it more complex with a nice lingering finish that made it much better than most Merlots.
