September 20, 2022 - In Duisburg BEW mit der gleich jungen Pauline verkostet. Dunkle Früchte, Würze, gute Konzentration, wunderbar. Bis circa 2028+ zu trinken. 89 bis 90 Punkte. 13 Prozent Volumen Alkohol laut Etikett. Füllstand: Base of neck. Gewisse Süße aber Anfangs Bitterkeit. Verändert sich mit der Luft. Merlot pur. Schwelgerisch, oppulent. Top Vieille Cure. Korken erst zu 5-10 Prozent mit Wein durchtränkt.

November 1, 2019 - Not much nose; and this never changed much over 2-3 hours. Palate showed more, with some power and richness though not fruit. Not much character. More pleasant than it sounds, but a slightly odd beast.

June 23, 2019 - Not what we were expecting for a 24 year old bordeaux. Purple gray body, nose is candied plum, blueberry. Palate is dry dark bitter chocolate, big wave of acid, mouth puckering, powdery chalkiness, caramel praline flavors. Most of the fruit is gone from palate but doesn't taste old or thin. Minerality, stoniness, cranberry. Lacks tannins or a long finish. Still though, with the right meal, this is a good mature wine.

November 24, 2017 - From magnum, it was a bit firm but I'm not sure time would benefit this wine. No danger of immediate decline but I'd decant and drink up.

December 25, 2005 - 3 bottles. Deep garnet, slightly spicy, earthy, fruity nose. Well balanced on palate, moderate length. Good for what it is.
