A great wine from corton. Never would guess that this wine comes from an off-vintage. Pure, saline, balanced, powerful. Not reached his peak but I like this stage. 99 -

September 27, 2022 - A private dinner (Restaurant d'Oude Schuur, Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium): Tasted blind. No. 00017. Great, classical Coche Corton-Charlemagne nose, immediately recognisable, the palate is so playful and layered, an effortless interplay of power and finesse, amazing finesse, complete and conplex, layered, perfect oak integration, firm but playful acidity, salty finish with great resonance and length. A very great wine, completely different from the concentrated and brooding 2012 tasted last year.

May 28, 2022 - Young and dazzling when first opened Gorgeous peach and pear fruit, snappy and energetic. Unfortunately as it breathed it lost its focus and the fruit flattened out. Is it too young or too old? Puzzling. Disappointing since you always want perfection with the ultimate Coche.
