Medium acid with fine round tannins, medium bodied with a nice refined finish. Balance was slightly upset by the dominating soy sauce elements.. Wine seemed to be fully mature and not likely to improve with age..

June 26, 2009 - Burgundy-Themed "European Lunch" (Mongeard-Mugneret and NSGs) (Zibbibo Restaurant, Palo Alto, California): Light medium bricking red color with clear meniscus; nice mature raspberry, strawberry, sous bois and mineral nose; nice mature red fruit, ripe framboise core, mineral, roses and iron palate; medium finish 93+ pts.
