July 26, 2023 - Late night at home with J. Flower Day. Pop and poured. Thick green wax and Diam cork. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, some sediment at end of bottle, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet rim. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of lovely earth, potpourri, dried red cherries, strawberries, elegant funk with a touch of sous bois. Slight darker red fruit with more air. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), silky low tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of nice melted earth, dried red cherries, ripe strawberries, dried flower petals potpourri. Gentle pleasing medium+ finish.
Very good quality. Almost Burgundian-like. Thoroughly enjoyable. Bottle easily finished fast.

November 4, 2020 - NobleRottersSydney - Random night (Fix, St James, Sydney): {diam, 13%} [Graeme] Translucent garnet. Gorgeous nose of cherries and spiced meat ; such intense aromas, only partyl developed. Fairly new world in its ripe overtness, but it’s way better than formula pinot. Spicy flavours, with an earthy aspect. Light/medium in weight, with lowish fine dusty tannins and medium acidity. Subtle oak. Even palate; nicely balanced, medium length finish. Good now, will drink , even improve, for another five years easy. Lovely example of the Yarra’s version of the grape.

August 26, 2018 - A lovely, fruity Pinot, raspberry, Strawberry. Not heavy at all but I wished for a bit more tannins and earthy elements.

December 22, 2017 - This is so good! Top top Pinot noir, Burgundian in every aspect, best new world Pinot I have tasted, drank with 07 Lafarge Volnay Chenes and 02 Pousse volnay bousse and it was as good as the 2, best Australian Pinot better than Bass Phillip better than Farrside.
