August 19, 2013 - Good intensity on the nose of floral and citrus notes married to spicy nutty oak. This wine has excellent balance with c. 30% new oak. A new producer to me but very impressed. Intense apple and citrus fruit, delicate oaking against a steely stony backbone, with a long tingling finish. Rich yet nervous. If you like terroir driven wines rather than overoaked buttery chardonnay seek this one out. Very good.
