July 31, 2019 - Second bottle spoiled. Cork was brittle. Smells of stewed prunes and vinegar

April 1, 2015 - Disappointing, like most of my purchases from "in vino". It has a pretty, dark red color with good clarity. Plenty of fruit and tannin to age (a little overwhelming right now). But the real problem is that there's a definite flaw that comes through strongly on both the nose and the palate -- a strong, chemical smell/flavor that I can't put my finger on, but it could best be described as "turpentine". I don't think it's from new oak, although some overly new-oaked wines have something similar. I have the sense that its a chemical additive of some sort that was overdone. After a day this has faded partially, but the wine is still not great.

November 27, 2014 - Popped and poured. Attractive nose of fresh, crushed berries. Lots of nice forest fruits on the palate and enough acidity to show it's serious. Good structure. A really solid effort and drinking really well right now. This drinks a lot better than higher pedigreed wines from the Right Bank. You can definitely detect good fruit quality and competent wine making. A pleasant surpriser and I would love to hunt down some more.

May 31, 2013 - Very impressive. Ready to drink with just a simple splash decant. Baked cherry, baked plum, cassis, spring flowers, loam. Shows good concentration on the palate. Extracted, but not overdone - nice rich purple legs with every swirl. Very stylish. One of the freshest '09s i've tasted. Can't believe how well this drinks. Too good for the money if there's ever such a thing.
