Community Tasting Notes 2

November 5, 2015 - Synthetic cork. Relatively dark ruby core in the glass with a pinkish rim. Bouquet identifies it upfront as California pinot noir, with rich red currant, sour cherry and a touch of earthy mint. The palate is brimming with tart black cherry, red cherry and strawberry. Acidity is still medium high and tannins are medium length on the modest finish. Showing a bit of heat on the nose when first opened, which fades with time in the glass. Rather typical in style and drinking well now, although I wish there was a bit more depth under the fruit.

November 2, 2014 - Medium body, nice acidity. Black cherries and some oak spice but not too much. A nice pinot, but I'm not sure the QPR is worth it.
