March 27, 2021 - I like it. Has initial earthy tone but picking up black cherry, black berry and cedar notes. As it breathed there seems to be a floral finish- not quite violets but floral. Medium body. Tannins are mellow. Would purchase again.

September 4, 2016 - PnD let air for 3hrs. Dense saturated purple with violet to clear rim. Cassis plum dried cherry lavender cedar fennel cola dark chocolate and espresso on the nose. Medium weight with perfectly ripe cherry skin tannins (smooth but not too smooth). Cassis black cherry plum fig dark chocolate espresso and a touch of cedar on the palate. Nice grip on the lingering figgy finish. This is ripe but balanced and complex. Decanted well in advance of first drinking and it got better over several hours after.

June 10, 2014 - CWHODGE review spot on. We did enjoy this with some brisket. Can't speak to value since my bottle was a gift but I wouldn't pay the community average.

September 15, 2013 - Light ruby color, bright scents of cherry, red fruit, cigar, truffle and vanilla. Flavors show adequate concentration, leaner mouthfeel than I associate with cabs. Tannins integrate well, some red fruit lingers with some oak and nutmeg on the finish.
