June 26, 2019 - Fine Wines SG - Bordeaux 80s BYOB (Fine Wines SG): Highly acidic, and some elevated acids and rather burnish, with some florals, tea, chocolate, and rather savoury

June 21, 2019 - Lovely generous fruit, licorice, figs, oranges, cocoa beans, spices, cedar i e very complex bouquet. Perfect balance and again fruit, melted tannin still giving it structure coupled with medium acidity. Long rewarding finish. In a sweet spot now. Drink up. One of the best in a long time. Perfect example why you need patience with the top wines.
Ps this bottle was tapped with Coravin 3 m ago and half a bottle was left and opened today. No sign of degradation.

    May 30, 2019 - Great!
After opening the bottle: Wood, mushrooms, and in the aftertaste lots of chocolate
After 10‘: plums, sweet black fruit, vanilla, cedar, licorice, lots of chocolate
During the next hour it stayed like that, but less chocolate. Just a wonderful wine!

May 29, 2019 - Po’s 89 Bordeaux @ Trompette (La Trompette, London): Quite ripe on the nose. Nicely rich without being overdone. Darker. Think this is Cos. Fresh and nicely structured. Some mid palate richness with a cooler, slightly licorice finish. ****

May 28, 2019 - Tasted next to 1990. Similar in colour, just a little duller and browner around the rim. More evolved on the nose as well - generous fruit, tobacco, cedar, sweet spices. Very layered and expressive. On the palate a little tired at times, slightly drying tannins, relatively low acidity. Very long. No rush, but probably best to slowly drink up. 92-94
