July 2, 2016 - I was a little concerned when the cork crumbled as I opened my last bottle. The wine was fine with a nice nose of dark fruit. The tannins were well integrated and soft notes of cherry and blackberry were somewhat muted but still there. The finish was a little dry but not unpleasant not bad for a 21 year old bottle.

this is a particularly offensive wine proving i have some seriously bad stuff in my cellar from all over the world. it is, however, beautiful in color with a lightly burnt rim. the nose is distinctly bordeaux, but on the palate it is badly out of balance, possessing virtually no fruit to mask the tannic onslaught which is thick as a brick. someone actually bottled this with, i presume, good intentions. as bob uecker said in major league..."just a bit outside."
