November 10, 2018 - Drank together with lamb, truffel and mushroom risotto. Ready but will stay good for some years to come.

December 24, 2017 - I remember standing with a winemaker and looking over the Rio Sordo vineyard and asking, "Ma dove'e il rio!?" He told me it was underground. Then it all made sense, and for whatever reason, Rio Sordo became my favorite Barbaresco vineyard right then.

So I'm pre-disposed to like this wine. Trying to be objective, it's heavier than a typical Rio Sordo, and it's still very primary, even at 10 years. Objective proof it's a delish mid-weight red in a good drinking spot: first bottle drained at the table. Seems like it might
have another ten years in it, if you like your nebbiolos old.

June 6, 2013 - During Divo wineclub tasting. Dark ruby. Reserved nose of dried fruit, cedar wood and tobacco. Medium bodied with very classic proportions, i.e. also present acidity and a bit drying tannins as we know them from Nebbiolo. A very classic and elegant Barbaresco.
