Community Tasting Notes 7

September 8, 2018 - Recently purchased this bottle at a retail store during a sale. Wine was a bit golden, nose was somewhat closed in, and a touch of oxidation in the flavors and finish. Despite the oxidation, I enjoyed drinking the wine and finished the night with a bottle of 2013 Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay. Decided not to rate this wine given the oxidation. I would encourage those holding this wine to at least try a bottle.

October 28, 2017 - Seymour Wine Club Meeting 10/28/17 (Home of the Alapatt's): Tasted blind. This nose was really closed down upon my initial tasting. Believe it was served too cold. Once it warmed up it started to show aromas of mineral, lime and flowers. Had flavors of graham cracker. Touch of oak on there was quite nice. Had this pegged for a White Burgundy. I had this tied for 3rd and it was the group's 5th wine of the night.

May 27, 2017 - This is my favorite domestic Chardonnay I've had in a while and I just got back from a Sonoma Valley trip. Great acidity that keep it lively. Not showing any signs of new oak, but has a roundness that leads me to believe it's seen a barrel, possibly old? Typical nose of Apple, pear but also a little lime zest that keeps it fun. Medium+ Body with just a hint of creaminess. That being said not sure how much longer this will age? I'm not experienced with aging Oregon Chardonnay, but I am afraid it will lose that brightness soon so I would drink up if you have any left...

March 21, 2015 - Great showing from this vintage.

Bright golden color with good clarity. Nose of tropic fruits with peach, lemon and hints of honey.

On the palate the lemon, peach and apricot flavors were forward. Mid palate displayed the tropical fruits with elements of toast and honey. Bright acids kept this fresh and well balanced. This wine had depth and character and tied everything together very well.

Served with stuffed mushrooms and marinated shrimp and it paired very well.

July 7, 2014 - Very smooth with peach undertones. Served with grilled chicken when we were at Lake Tahoe. Buttery and a hint of oak. This is reminiscent of a California chardonnay.
