March 18, 2009 - Great wine; I think it should be near its peak by now. A lot of sediment, and it still benefits from some air, so make sure to decant it first. A very nice nose, and the earthiness makes its way into the taste. Coffee and cherries predominate, though I guess some spices can also be felt (it's hard to say with all the earth around it).

November 1, 2007 - An Italian blend with flair. Strong nose of damp earth and spice, followed by a palate of cherries, coffee, some sweet black fruit and spice. Soft upfront and full in the middle this ends with some zing and grip and a moderate lengthed finish. Needs to breathe for at least an hour and I would recommend.

January 22, 2006 - QPR of the year (2005 and probably 2006). Stinks like wet grassy field with some fennel and coffee and cherry of the sangiovese. Mild tannins but in balance. Needs more time cause this is a second day nite. First day the wine is a little more close.
