April 14, 2018 - Are you kidding me? Finished the bottle 30 minutes ago at a restaurant in madrid. It was so ready without showing any sign of age. Really great. Loved it. Cannot believe how great it was. Too drunkt to tell about the details - but loved it all the way.

March 9, 2013 - Dinner @ R&Y (R&Y): Blind. Deep, slightly smoky garnet to a deep orange at the rim. Quite an old, evolved nose here, lots of soy and slightly meaty aromas with some piercing dark red fruit. On the attack, this is a bit muddled, kitschy notes of raspberry and cherry fruit, seemingly a touch over ripe and slightly porty. Soy and meat flavours through the mid-palate. Quite interesting, but as time goes on this seems to break up a bit, certainly a little disjointed, and it lacks the charm and quality of fruit of the other two in the flight. ***

February 17, 2011 - Spotted this at a local wine merchant, and couldn't pass up, given the price on a 15 year bottle of wine (well under a tenner). Didn't expect a lot - but this really delivered. The colour shows a significant browning, but plenty of depth still. Quite funky on the nose. When decanting, the room was filled with pungent ripe raspberry aromas. The Raspberry aromas were accompanied by strawberry, dark cherry, even a certain ribena like quality. Plenty of funk and meatiness, leather - complexity that only maturity can provide, yet fresh. Even on day three this was still performing well, and in fact rounded out nicely - very impressive.
