August 13, 2018 - Decent nose, but flat with a vegetative finish. Disappointed.

August 27, 2016 - bit of disappointment. quite basic Rioja, but I was hoping for a lot more. will try last bottle in 2 years from now,

November 15, 2015 - Beautiful deep garnet colour. Notes of dark cherry, French oak vanilla, and spice. There's a light floral note on the nose as well. A nice full mouthfeel with chalky tannins, and medium acidity. Very well made and delicious.

January 8, 2015 - Well made Rioja, but nothing really distinctive from my point of view. So for the price given, I'd rather buy a good Reserva with more depth and smoothness.

April 5, 2014 - A private dinner (Restaurant Sergi Arola **, Madrid, Spain): A blend of 91% Tempranillo and 9% Mazuelo, relatively cool fermentation at 18 - 25 Celsius, 14.6% ABV, 16 months on one year-old French barriques, 90.000 bottles produced. Bright cherry red, good saturation; expressive nose with black fruit, oak, spice and minerality; the palate strikes a nice balance between freshness and weight, while the soft tannins already allow drinking at this young age, juicy, lovely ripe fruit flavours; good to very good length. Attractive.
