June 10, 2014 - Extremely yellow in color. Lively mousse.
Very yeasty smell as soon as bottle was opened. This champagne is aged on lees for 72 months. In the glass, the blue grapes dominate the nose with red fruit, but I also detect a hint of lime. Slightly unbalanced by the alcohol.
On the palette I sense a moderately high dosage but also a good acidity that it counterbalances. Not super complex, but very rich, satisfying and easy to drink. -
