  September 22, 2022 - Standard cork in good shape. Dark garnet/fire-red with very slight bricking at the edges. On the nose, aromas of balsamic coated blackcurrant/green pepper, slight plums, earth, and some volatile acidity. On the palate, the attack is frank, fruity/balsamic with the aromas as found on the nose, and a long length of earth/balsam. This has moved into tertiary territory with a remaining touch of secondary. Though the structure (acidity/tannin) is still present, I wouldn't bother keeping these any longer - they may already slightly be on decline. 90, mostly for the "aged" aromas I taste only too rarely these years (waiting for most of my bottles to ripen), otherwise closer to an 88-89 for the actual balance (struck by the VA). I have two bottles left, but wouldn't buy this vintage again.
  
  Do give it a couple of hours of air ideally.

  June 13, 2013 - First wine I drank where the carmenere Grape dominates. A lot of Aromas from green pepper to ginger, very volatile, an intruiging wine, a bit expensive
