  November 11, 2022 - I now have a new wine rating barometer, namely my 19 year old son...and this one got the double thumbs up from him! I can see why he likes it, with 10+ years of cellaring time the slightly rustic Nero d'avola has found a certain elegance and refinement. Or has it simply relaxed a bit? In any event, quite smooth and integrated, dark fruits, leather and earth notes, smooth and silky. Definitely time to drink these up.

  -med dark red, minimal clearing
  -subtle dark berry fruit some elements of age
  -med acidity, med weight saline minerality faded dark fruit, med/med- tannins give a little finishing grip
  -fully mature though this was better a few years ago

  August 17, 2019 - Excellent. Drinking nicely now but can still go a few. Cherries and cherry pits. A fine Nero d’Avola!

  March 31, 2019 - Bouteille achetée au courrier vinicole.
  Pop and drink.
  Un nez sur les framboises et la terre .
  J’ai eu un peu peur . En bouche , beaucoup de fruits (cassis et framboises ) légèrement terreux .
  Je n’ai pas bu une tonne de Nero D’avola mais celui si était superbe et très linéaire .
  Une bonne longueur . Ne peux pas être plus beau que ça . Prêt à boire .
