    January 1, 2021 - Deep straw/honeyed colour.
Very devt. aromas and flavours. Fruit flavours again restrained. Relies on bottle age complexity. Acid still obvious. Not good PQR.

April 26, 2017 - Rich, golden colour. Showing expected bottle devt, but not as rich as I'd expect. I suspect this was battery acid when it was young and maybe why it was held back. Still acid now and I found it disappointing as an aged wine for its pedigree. Not worth the price.

November 1, 2014 - I have had the pleasure of tasting a number of Bannockburn Chardonnay's from the 1990's and have been consistently impressed by their ability to age and gain exceptional complexity yet maintain balance. There is a very small list of Australian producers that can boast to have Chardonnay's that are not only alive after close to 20 years, but in the best form of their life.

The wine is a golden yellow, with a flinty nose that seamlessly integrates wood smoke and layers of stone fruits. The palate has impeccable balance, rich wood spice and white peach gets cut through by fine acidity, there is a butterscotch richness on the mid to back palate that lingers with impressive length. What a great drinking experience.

August 20, 2012 - 10x20 Years Victorian Tasting (Custom House, Circular Quay, Sydney): Nose: Toast, vanilla, nuts, cream and slight tropical fruit
Mouth: Tropical fruit is more prevalent here as are some toasty/biscuity notes.
the wine is on it's uppers but still in it's Indian summer. Very nice.

December 21, 2005 - Bannockburn Vertical Tasting - Chardonnay, Pinot & Shiraz (Royal Automobile Club, Sydney): Straw yellow in colour - very youthful looking at ten years of age. Toasty, nutty, slightly minerally nose. Lovely texture to the palate. A pleasure to drink. Not in any danger of falling over.
