March 5, 2018 - Screw Cap. Room temp. Bought The Wine Soc, UK. approx £8.00 in Bin End Sale.

Boring and ordinary. Nothing actually 'wrong' with it. Very plummy, not enough acid and structure, all ripe flabby fruit, a quaffer. Probably make a nice 'party' wine for the office.

VFM? No. Even though it's a cheapie at just £8.00, I won't be buying again. Have had far better Valpoll's.

October 18, 2015 - £8.55 bin end sale, The Wine Society UK.

    Room temp. Not decanted.

    Nothing on nose. Light body.

Simple red, plummy, easy, no evident oak, very easy drinking. Not dry enough for me. At just 3 yrs old, already mature. Very good quaffer, would buy again. A little acidity to balance all that ripe fruit.

Value for Money? At £8.55, a bargain.

December 4, 2014 - Thursday Evening Tasting at Best Bottle, Columbia, SC 12/4/2014 (Best Bottle, Columbia, SC): I think we have to put this wine in perspective. It is designed to be soft and easy drinking. They ferment and settle in stainless steel tanks, bottle within about 6 months off the vine, and expect to be drunk very young. On top of that, they price it in the low to mid teens per bottle, so it is not a major decision to purchase a bottle. It tastes pretty good. It has a playful nose of cherry, raspberry, plum and violets. The palate is a little crisp with cranberry before the cherry and plum. Totally complete with decent integration of acid, tannin and alcohol. No oak necessary.

September 30, 2014 - Tasted as part of my Level 3 WSET Course (Day 3 – Italy, Spain, Portugal, USA and Canada). Clear pale ruby, with a clean nose showing floral red fruits. Dry wine though – high acidity, med(-) tannins, med(+) alcohol. Body and flavour both medium. Palate is mainly fresh red fruits e.g. sour cherries. Simply too acidic for a sipper – cries out for rich food such as braises or a stews. Drink now.
