December 2, 2016 - Bottle 1351 out of 2057. Apple and biscuits on both the nose and palate. For a local Michigan producer this is a very nice effort. It was pricey but given it is anniversary wine I believe it was worth it.

December 13, 2015 - Madeira and Champagne (Chicago, IL): Bottle 596 of 2057. Cuvee 117 on tirage March 2006, disgorged April 2013. Just way too much biscuit here for me. Waaaaaay too much. There's a very prominent sweet apple note on the nose as well. The palate has a lovely raciness to it, with the same prominent biscuit and apple note. I really wanted to like this more (and it has all the components I'd want in a great sparkling wine), but I couldn't get past the pronounced biscuit.

July 5, 2015 - Day 1: seemed dead and too sweet. Perhaps too cold? Day 2: much more alive. Mushroomy nose. Good acidity and finish. Not sure I would keep this much longer but I enjoyed it.

May 13, 2015 - Nose of buttermilk. After some air, it turned to buttermilk plus apple.
The palate is crisp, fruited, but very yeasty. Tasty, but yeasty. Not as sweet or as heavy as a champagne, it remains complex enough to keep my interest throughout. I like it and would recommend. -

November 28, 2013 - I enjoyed it. Crisp boarding on sour apple, honey, big. Calm effervescence. Better as a cocktail or an aperitif than and with food. I thought that this high acidity would be great with food, but the abundence of the apple mingled strangely with the creme brulee I made. Tastes like aged Champagne, and feels like it could mature a few more.
For the price, I was expecting more in the bottle. One has to remember that this is a, relatively, small producer from a cool climate making vintage sparkling wine. There is going to be a lot of cost and probably little, or no, profit on this wine
