Community Tasting Notes 3

  • Mike Ritner Likes this wine:

June 30, 2014 - Medium ruby color. Light body. Red cherry fruit with vanilla oak at first, but the oak recedes and integrates after an hour and a nice meaty, savory flavor emerges to play off the fruit. Good, solid generic Bourgogne.

January 4, 2014 - What La ave d'Argent said. Serving with grilled turkey. Too dry and lacks complexity.

June 19, 2013 - Medium ruby in color, this entry-level Burgundy justifies itself with cherry, orange peel and spice aromas, backed up by similar flavors. Fresh, light-to-medium-bodied and lightly tannic on the palate, it is very food-friendly and hides its 12.5% alcohol well. The middle palate is solid and the aftertaste is fairly impressive (at least medium in length and quite crisp). This is a well-made Pinot with verve, offered at an excellent price. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2016.
