March 20, 2020 - Forgot about this one in my cellar from when I purchased it 10 years ago, pleasant surprise. Stained through the cork about 20% of the way but no effect on the wine (bit of sediment, but a decant took care of it). Has that 'Rutherford Dust' aroma the folks at Sequoia like to talk about, with a secondary note of strawberry on the nose. Tannins are almost gone; weird drinking a cabernet that's sippable without food. I feared this may be way beyond it's peak, and for sure I don't think it's getting any better, but this was a very pleasant treat all things considered being cooped in. Wish my steak was better...was unable to get it at Whole Foods.

April 27, 2018 - Staining through about 85% of the cork. Nice nose of coffee, chocolate, cherry, and heat. Not impressed by these single vineyard Sequoia Grove Cabs. Body is pretty plain with no unique characteristics. Short finish.

November 5, 2016 - Great vintage, classic big Rutherford Cab, bold, dark and a splendid structure with a smooth long finish. Second bottle for which the cork split at opening.

June 21, 2016 - Classic and enjoyable Rutherford Cab. Big, deep, dark, dry, earthy, structured tannins and long finish. Since this is a 2006 it did not hold up as well on the 3rd day in comparison to the first day but no discount for this. Drinking very well now and from a great vintage. Oddly the cork did evenly break when removing and slight staining and bleed was evidenced.
